Welcome to West Hollywood

Eclectic, welcoming, and exciting – WeHo has it all!

In 1984, West Hollywood was born—and it was and is one of the most prominent LGBTQ-friendly areas in the U.S. Today, West Hollywood is a dynamic, vibrant little city neighborhood known for its multiculturalism and community activism. The city is hailed as an area dedicated to the quality of life and creativity.

The most iconic portion of Sunset Boulevard, known as The Sunset Strip, runs straight through West Hollywood and is world-famous for its architecture, fashion industry, entertainment, live music, comedy, and nonstop nightlife. The streets in West Hollywood are walkable, with everything residents need right at their fingertips. The housing includes luxury homes, gorgeous condominiums, and luxury townhouses.

Local Lifestyle

Life in West Hollywood is fast-paced but still dedicated to the community. The streets are very walkable, and everything the residents could possibly need is at their fingertips. Owning a car is optional and certainly not necessary on a daily basis. The locals work hard to balance the excitement of their world-famous nightclubs and lounges with core values: "respect and support for people; responsiveness to the public; creativity and innovation; quality of life; promotion of economic development; and responsibility for the environment.”

Dining, Entertainment & Shopping

For classic diner food and a 1950s blast from the past, head over to Mel’s Drive-In and have yourself a Malted Milkshake. At the Saddle Ranch Chop House, they’re serving up excellent American and Southwestern food, and try the BBQ Baby Back Ribs. For authentic Mexican food in a gorgeous, bohemian setting, make a beeline for Gracias Madre and have their Potato Pimiento Flautas. For a date night, you won’t forget to go to The Tower Bar in the Sunset Tower Hotel. Enjoy the romantic atmosphere, and make sure you try the Seared Sea Scallops.

The iconic
Whisky A Go-Go is still a-go-going strong and is home to excellent live music performances. This is where it all started for many famous musicians. The Comedy Store is a comedy club that has been going strong for 50 years. They are known for great comedy, and many famous comedians drop in regularly for a surprise visit. The shopping mecca known as the Sunset Plaza is a fashionista’s dream come true with designer clothing, shoes, accessories, hats, jewelry, home décor, spas, fitness centers, and more.
